Embroidery Machine Operator

The Embroidery Machine Operator is responsible for operating large industrial embroidery machines, embroidering logos, names, designs, and images onto a variety of garments and items, by following a spec sheet/sales order. The applicant should be capable of working as a team, but importantly, be capable of working on your own initiative, with the ability to problem solve.
Although highly beneficial, and desirable, to have experience, it is NOT essential.

Key Responsibilities
- Decorate items following Production Order Instructions
- Read orders thoroughly before starting any job including special instructions
- Prepare machinery for production
- Load colours (Threads)
- Download the digital file into the machine
- Basic machine maintenance
- Report any shortages and issues to the Production Manager.
- Maintain a clean and tidy workstation
- Ensure the equipment used is treated correctly.
- Assist with the achievement of Department targets
- Minimize Department costs and wastage
- Carry out any other tasks as designated by the Production Management
- Communicate effectively and respectfully with co-workers and management
- Work with other departments as required
Duties of this job may require occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling of objects, working in a warehouse environment. Standing and walking for extended periods of time.

Hours 37.5 Monday-Friday
