We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team. The successful candidate will have exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work on numerous different files with minimal supervision.
CIL is expanding and we will be moving into a new office in JUNE 2023. We are extremely busy based on high demand for our services and our exceptional reputation for positive results.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage client files, including entering client data into IMM forms from IRCC, tracking important dates and deadlines, and using MacOS software
- Assist client with the completion of forms, ensure forms are the latest version and properly validated
- Prepare draft documents for review, including affidavits and letters of support
- Respond to client inquiries in a professional manner with exceptional communication skills
- Prepare applications by scanning, copying and organizing supporting documentation while maintaining paperless backup system
- Receive payments and record financial transactions in PCLaw per Law Society of Manitoba Rules
Qualifications
- Familiar with Canadian immigration system, including federal and provincial programs
- Experience working with MacOS
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills - please provide publications, if available
- Good judgment, sensitivity and experience dealing with diverse clients, including members of LGBTQ community and vulnerable persons
- Self-motivated with a strong attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task, work well under pressure and prioritize tasks
- Minimum typing speed of 40 WPM (English)
Education & Experience
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience dealing with immigration and refugee law
- Completion of Bachelor's Degree, Law Degree and/or Master's Degree;
- Fluency in other languages
