We are currently seeking Placement Landscape Architects to join and support the growth of our landscape design team in one of our major hub offices (London, Cambridge, Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds, Edinburgh, Belfast and Dublin). As a member of one of the UK&I’s largest and most diverse landscape practices, you will have the opportunity to work with senior members of the team to work on both the landscape assessment and design of a range of types and sizes of projects, from landscape assessment including residential, urban regeneration, resorts, major infrastructure and environmental enhancement schemes. We are working with major clients, both in the UK and overseas, that include universities, local authorities and private clients, including many of the major global developers. Our current projects range from international resorts such as Alula to carbon capture schemes in England. We work across the design stages integrating our strengths in landscape planning and management to produce design solutions which are in harmony with the environment, sustainable and deliver in an imaginative and innovative way.
We will consider applicants with a keen interest to learn and develop their landscape architecture skills. We are looking for a team player with good technical skills who wishes to be involved in the development of innovative, cost effective and buildable solutions in an environment that is collaborative, stimulating and challenging.

Job Responsibilities:
Applicants should be able to demonstrate an appropriate level of technical expertise in order to be able to carry out the following job/project accountabilities:
- Production of drawings and other technical documentation using appropriate software, with the necessary level of detail as required at various stages of development: strategies, conceptual design, detailed design and production information.
- Accompany senior staff on site visits and record information.
- Communicate clearly, including the ability to write concisely for input into technical reports and to contribute to conference calls, meetings and workshops.
- Ability to work collaboratively and iteratively within a multi-disciplinary design team.
- Be aware of and understand the AECOM procedures, their importance and their application to projects.
- Supporting project managers and other staff with other office duties with integrity and flexibility.
- Organising and managing your professional work responsibly and independently where necessary.
- Carry out professional work with care, conscientiousness and with proper regard to relevant technical and professional standards.
- Ability of working to meet demanding deadlines.
As a Landscape Architecture Placement in our studios you will have the opportunity to work with senior members of the team on a wide range of project types in diverse geographies. You will experience projects at all stages of design through to implementation including:
- Public realm and Landscape design from conceptual to detail design stage, including Town centre/ Urban Public Realm Improvement schemes, parks, business and commercial developments, residential developments, healthcare and education campuses, and transport-based landscape projects.
- Tourism and community projects, including interpretation planning, community-led planning, public consultation, design workshops, village and town appraisals, and public realm design strategies.
- Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment for developments such as: Roads, solar farms, wind farms, grid infrastructure and substations, quarries, industrial, commercial and residential developments as part of Environmental Impact Assessment projects.

Minimum Requirements- Undertaking a degree in Landscape Architecture recognised by the Landscape Institute or similar professional body)
- Fluency in English and ability to communicate effectively.
- Experience in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Cloud software.
- Full driving licence would be beneficial
Preferred Qualifications
- Completion of a recognised landscape degree or working towards a Master’s degree following completion of a first degree.
