Labourer- Street Lighting
Milestone Infrastructure look after 24,000 miles of roads, 280,000 lighting assets and 20,000 miles of footways, always with a view to ensuring that all works are carried out as sustainably as possible and with minimal impact to local communities.
Due to a period of sustained growth we are currently looking to recruit a Labourer to work on our Street Lighting contract in Croydon & Lewisham.
As a Labourer you will be part of our Street Lighting team who are responsible for the installation and maintenance of the street furniture across the Croydon & Lewisham boroughs.
As a Labourer in a part of a two person crew main your duties & responsibilities will be:
- Installation of street lighting equipment
- Installation of private cable networks
- Installation of feeder pillars
- Excavating for Lampposts, signposts, joint bays
- Reinstatement of surfaces
Skills & Knowledge Requirements
- First Aid at Work
- NRSWA Unit 2 or equivalent (Desirable)
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Manual Handling
- ECS Test
- Good Communication Skills
- Must be able to work well within a team
Additional Information
- You must possess a high degree of manual dexterity demonstrated through the use of hand tools
- You will be required to work outdoors in all weathers and be required to walk and stand on uneven ground.
