Re: Casual Employment Requirements For Landscaping General Labourer

• Casual employees at Pinnacle Landscaping are expected to be at the site punctually. Schedules will be posted days in advance with changes coming within 24 hours notice. Any problems with the schedule should be addressed immediately with supervisor, not showing up to work is a serious offence that will result in disciplinary actions.
• Casual employees may submit a written request for time off and it will be considered by your supervisor. Pinnacle Landscaping is a seasonal operation that is looking for hardworking individuals that are willing to work on a consistent basis. If you travel and have complicated availability, then this probably is not the position for you.
• There is a hierarchy in the chain of command at Pinnacle Landscaping. At the top is Matt, the owner of the business. When he is not on site, there will be a foreman has the designated position of leading the team on-site into getting the job done efficiently and to our standards. Our foreman will also be working onsite alongside you, though may need to leave the site at times. Laborers must treat their coworkers, superiors and the customers with respect. Any issues with conduct on site that cannot be resolved there should be immediately addressed to your foreman or Matt and can be done so confidentially.
• Casual employees at Pinnacle Landscaping are expected and should expect themselves to perform when they are on site. Must be willing to get dirty and down to business. This is a labour-intensive position, and we need capable bodied and willing people to come in with a good attitude and represent our business well. We want guys who work well with a team and are physically fit and willing to work hard. This is a physically demanding position.
• The three primary roles that you will be working on will be rough & final grading, building fences and decks, as well as installing our basic landscape package of sod, trees, shrubs, mulch and crushed rock. Previous experience and knowledge in these tasks is an asset but prior knowledge is not a necessity as long as you are willing to work hard and get up to speed fast. The quality of the work that we do matters, as does the timeline as we will have a schedule we must not fall behind on. We take pride in our work at Pinnacle Landscaping, and as long as you work hard, pull your weight, and have a good attitude you will fit right in!
• Cell Phones – We aren’t going to say that there’s no phones at all as everybody has emergencies, but when it’s work time, it’s work time. Unless there are exceptional circumstances to the situation, you shouldn’t be on your cell phone during work hours.
• If you are a hard-working individual who wants to work outside on a team in a labour role, this is the job for you! If you prove yourself an asset to us through this season, there is also room to move up into a higher role for those that earn it as we expand in the future.
• Music is accepted as long as it is not an annoyance to the residents and it doesn’t affect productivity in a negative way. No headphones unless given the ok by the lead on site.

Part-time hours: 44 per week

Salary: $20.00-$21.00 per hour
