We are hiring General Labourers at our Pickering location.
Responsibilities:
- Set-up feed and feed table to ensure smooth delivery into press
- Assist operator during make-ready of press
- Retrieve and prepare loads for press by piling and airing loads
- Assist operator in troubleshooting the press to help reduce downtime and inefficiencies
- Utilize continuous feed to maintain efficiencies
- Assist pre-make ready
- Maintain and adhere to safety standards and perform housekeeping duties
- Perform scheduled maintenance when required
- Adherence to GMP’s and SOP’s to promote product safety, food safety and quality
Qualifications:
- Technical knowledge of gluing process and machines
- Mechanical aptitude
- Must be willing to work rotating shifts operation
- Good oral and written communications skills
- Ability to work individually as well as in a team environment
- Ability to supervise and direct crew
- Good organization skills and leadership skills
- Basic computer skills
