Job Title:
Base Location: Highway Labourer
Salary: £22,344 plus a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing plus a workload-based incentive scheme, and all PPE
Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time – Once Fully Qualified, you can also take part in ‘On-call’ rotas which attract additional payments
What will I be doing in this role?
We’re looking for a Highway Liabourer to join the Cornwall team.
Enerveo have an extensive street lighting business that manages over 1 million streetlights across the UK and Ireland and through design, project management, consultancy, installation and maintenance we play a major role in reducing energy consumption and carbon footprints helping towns and cities become smarter, greener and more efficient which benefits us all.
One of the great things about joining us as a Highway Labourer is that we can take on experienced Operatives who already hold all the relevant qualifications, as well as those who are looking to transfer from other roles that are based in Highways or in Construction and wanting to learn a new role, or change career.
In a typical day, you could expect to be;
- Installing new and maintaining existing street lighting apparatus and furniture, this could be streetlights, signposts or signs
- Changing, painting and testing of equipment to prevent any future issues
- Ensuring we deliver outstanding service to our clients and the general public
- Working to strict safety guidelines and regulations
What do I bring to the role?
We can offer positions to existing Highway Labourers, as well as people without previous experience who will then have the opportunity to undertake further training and development as they progress.
Our Essential requirements for all applicants are;
- We work in all weathers! So, you need to be the type of person who is happy working outdoors all year round.
- A lot of this role will be working at height, so you need to be comfortable with working in a MEWP (also called a cherry picker) at heights that could be up to 12 Meters above ground
- We do need you to have a full UK Driving Licence
- You can work brilliantly in a Team as well as being able to act on your own initiative
