We are looking for an organised forward-thinker with a positive attitude to support the work and personnel of the Clinical Veterinary Sciences department within the Roslin Institute, be involved in a diverse range of research projects and ensure the smooth day-to-day running of laboratory activities.
This post is advertised as full-time (35 hours per week), however, we are open to considering part-time or flexible working patterns.
The Opportunity:
The successful applicant will join a vibrant team of multi-disciplinary researchers in the Clinical Veterinary Sciences department in the Roslin Institute. The role will involve a unique opportunity to develop both laboratory and management skills in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Your skills and attributes for success:
- Solid knowledge in modern molecular and cell biology techniques, in vitro approaches and preferably a good grounding in cancer biology.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated, able to work independently and collaboratively. Prior experience of laboratory management.
