The Role:
- Collect samples from various baths within the CPA and conduct specific chemical parameter analyses.
- Record the analysis results in the laboratory database and compare them to the standard operating conditions of the bath.
- Adjust chemical parameters in baths that deviate from standard operating conditions, following established process operating instructions.
- Notify the process engineer of any anomalies detected during the analysis or adjustments.
- Perform routine mechanical process inspections in accordance with company specifications.
- Take on the responsibility of auditing and ensuring that process lines are maintained to the required standards as per the Process Engineer's requests.
- Assist in laboratory testing to ensure the final product meets customer specifications.
- Contribute to the analysis of data generated by process inspections to enhance manufacturing efficiency and capability using statistical process control.
- Prepare stock reagent solutions, place orders for supplies, maintain laboratory equipment, and uphold cleanliness and organization in the area.
- Obtain samples of jobs at various stages of manufacturing and conduct micro-sections to measure specific features and details.
- Conduct mechanical testing in accordance with IPC and company specifications.
- Inspect microsections in line with IPC requirements and document the results.
- Compare the actual findings with customer specifications and requirements.
- Report any deviations to the Process Engineer.
- Enhance manufacturing efficiency and capability.
- Ensure that all activities adhere to work instructions, standard operating procedures, and comply with health and safety regulations.
- Share pertinent information with the Production Manager, other supervisors, and the technical team as needed.
- Complete all relevant paperwork promptly, including worksheets, process control documents, and timesheets.
- Participate in departmental meetings when necessary.
- Provide assistance to other departments or the process engineer as requested.
Requirements:
- A minimum of GCSE or equivalent in chemistry and/or mathematics
- PC literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
