Our site in Harrogate is currently recruiting for an Entry-Level Laboratory Assistant to join our Sample Management team in a full-time, permanent role.
You will be a part of the larger Molecular Biology lab, aiding important work that is integral to our mission to improve health and improve lives!
Full training will be provided and is an ideal role for a recent school leaver or someone looking to make a change and build a long-term career within Science!
Job responsibilities include:
- Receiving materials and samples for the department and updating the LIMS (Laboratory Management Information System).
- Maintaining lab stock levels and organisation
- Booking scientific samples into studies for analytical testing
- Stock counting and placing orders to replenish stock.
- Preparing samples for testing.
- Administrative duties including records/reports on Excel
About You:
The successful candidate will be educated to GCSE or equivalent. You will be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, time management and organisational skills in an environment that requires you to be flexible and meet specific timelines.
