Laboratory Chemist
Job Description
- Conduct Quality Control Sampling, sample analysis and data reporting according to all related regulatory standards and Standard Operating Procedures
- Perform all functions related to taking samples, sample receipt, control and sample disposal
- Perform analysis of routine samples and investigation of non-conforming samples, data evaluation and reporting
- Write Quality documents including Standard Operating Procedures, laboratory equipment procedures
- Prepare investigation protocols and report
- Be responsible for the operation, maintenance, training delivery as an expert and maintain operating procedure for at least one piece of laboratory equipment
- Perform technology transfer (method transfers) and critically evaluate data
- Maintain own training record for regulatory compliance and Health & Safety
Requirements
Candidates must demonstrate a solid track record with proven, verifiable experience of:
- Basic manual analytical technique and working experience with UV/VIS and FTIR (essential)
- Working knowledge of tablet and capsule physical tests and tablet/capsule dissolution
(essential)
- Familiar with equipment such as HPLC, GC (desirable)
- Must not be allergic to beta- lactams penicillin’s (essential)
- Bachelor’s degree or more in Chemistry with proven post qualification experience in a pharmaceutical laboratory environment with cGMP requirements (essential)

Salary & Benefits
- Salary £22k-£24k, depending on experience
