Job Introduction

We have a fantastic opportunity for a keen individual to join the Technical Support team at the Girvan Distillery. You will provide practical analytical support in order to maintain and enhance the quality and efficiency of all areas of distillery operations as well as ensuring project support, consistency of mature whisky and non-whisky products and meet legislative requirements.

Main Responsibility

The successful candidate will be responsible for analysis of in process materials and finished products, for a range of analytical parameters, in accordance with standard procedures and to schedule. They will ensure that all results are correct and communicated to key stakeholders in a timely and appropriate manner and that results are recorded diligently. The successful candidate will also be responsible for the maintenance of laboratory instrumentation with set agreed timescales to ensure accuracy and consistency in analytical results. There will also be a requirement to support delivery of project work carried out within the Technical team.

Our Ideal Candidate

As our ideal candidate, you will have a can do attitude alongside exceptional technical skills and the ability to work in a fast paced environment. Strong values, organisation skills and a highly effective communication style are essential. A background in analytical chemistry, Gas and Liquid Chromatography (GC & HPLC) and industry experience are preferable.
