Job Summary - The Engineering Teaching Laboratories at the University of Exeter have a new opportunity for a Trainee Laboratory Technician to join their team. You will engage with laboratory users and facilities to provide a front-line technical service, supporting and preparing the laboratory activities. This is an ideal opportunity for an engineering graduate to start a rewarding career for a renowned employer and gain valuable practical experience. This role is part of the Graduate Business Partnership (GBP) Scheme and offers full-time hours over a 12-month period. You will be based on Streatham campus in Exeter for most of the time, but there will be opportunities to conduct fieldwork which might be off site. About You - You should be a graduate who holds a relevant engineering undergraduate degree, who has effective communication, the ability to use own initiative, attention to detail, and has experience of participating on manual practical projects that required the use of equipment and tools. You should be practical and creative, be adaptable to circumstances, have skills in problem solving and critical thinking, have the ability to follow complex instructions and have the ability to prioritise tasks and work to tight deadlines. A good understanding od applied engineering would also be beneficial.
