Job description
TEC partners are working with a leading biotech company based in Cambridgeshire that offers reliable solutions for accelerating life science research. They design and manufacture robust and reliable solutions for liquid handling, sample preparation, management, and cryoEM. They design instruments that change the way scientists work. They are looking for a self-motivated lab technician to join their application development team.
Lab Technician’s Key Responsibilities:
· Support application scientists by managing the stocks of laboratory consumables, running standard operating procedures, and assisting with product development experiments, and preparing reagents.
· Processing raw data to prepare it for further analysis.
· Maintaining risk assessments and COSHH.
· Demonstrating standard operating procedures.
· Maintaining laboratory records and equipment.
· General housekeeping of the laboratory such as organising and storage of materials and equipment.
Lab Technician’s Requirements:
· Degree in a life sciences subject or equivalent
· Previous experience working as a lab technician
· Good attention to detail
· Ability to shift priorities and work on several projects at once
· Excellent computing skills
