Accountant/Finance Assistant – Oak Specialist Services Uxbridge Oak Specialist Services is looking to recruit a Accountant/Finance Assistant to provide finance support to the Senior Finance Manager. Ideally, you will based in or around the Uxbridge area or will be easily commutable to this location. What you will be doing: Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial information reported in Ledgers and Management Accounts in accordance with the Finance timetable. Undertake various finance-related tasks which may include: Credit checks on customer for new projects. Managing and updating Finance team CVRs. Assisting HY and FY Audit Assisting in the completion of the month end reporting Undertaking cash management reporting within the CVR process. Assisting in the preparation of supplementary schedules for Management Accounts. Assisting in the completion of the overhead report. Supporting the preparation of weekly cash reporting. Ensuring sales invoices from client certificates are raised accurately. Monitoring the sales ledger for prompt updating of receipts (to SSC). Credit control to ensure timely collection of monies owed. Managing intercompany transactions. Preparing and posting Oracle journals. Providing support to more senior members when required This is not an exhaustive list of duties. About You: The successful candidate will be an organised and motivated individual who enjoys the joint challenges of learning and developing their career. The candidate should be adaptable to changing deadlines and priorities and be able to cope well with working in a fast-paced environment. The candidate should be able to meet regular reporting deadlines balanced with reacting to ad hoc requests simultaneously. Ability to analyse and interpret data. A customer focused approach. Proactive and willing to learn. Willingness to get involved in key initiatives. The ability to understand finance and accounting principles in relation to the Construction Industry Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous. Preferably working towards a professional finance qualification or the willingness to undertake relevant professional qualifications. Previous experience of Oracle would be beneficial. Fully conversant with the Microsoft suite of packages.
