THE OPPORTUNITY

At Jushi, we are shaping the future of the cannabis industry, the fastest growing jobs sector in the U.S. The Quality Technician will be responsible for assisting in all quality aspects of the production site and ensure all products are manufactured in compliance with 21CFR111 requirements. The Quality Technician is responsible for quality inspections of Medical Cannabis products and auditing the processes and procedures in the medical cannabis manufacturing operation. They are required to follow set processes and ensure adherence to state regulations, SOPs, work instructions (WI), and adhere to good manufacturing practices (GMP), good laboratory practices (GLP) and other product quality standards.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Weigh and prepare samples for analytical testing.
• Analyze samples for cannabinoid potency using HPLC.
• Identify and quantify Terpenes using GC.
• Calibrate and Maintain HPLC & GC.
• Order Chemical Supplies.
• Microbial analysis via PCR.
• Dispose of Chemical Waste.
• Troubleshoot Analytical Equipment.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• BS/BA in chemistry, biochemistry, or biology
• Minimum of three years of work experience in a related field focusing on chemical processing and equipment use. (HPLC/GC primarily)
• Ability to communicate with employees in the organization.
• Previous experience in the medical cannabis industry

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Constantly perform desk-based computer tasks
• Frequently sitting
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including periodic weekends
• Occasionally Twist/bend/stoop/squat, kneel/crawl
• The ability to communicate orally with management and other co-workers is crucial. Regular use of the telephone and e-mail for communication may be required. Sitting or standing for extended periods is common. Hearing and vision within normal ranges are essential for normal conversations, receiving ordinary information, and preparing or inspecting documents.
• Some heavy lifting may be required. Exertion of up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally may be required.
• Good manual dexterity for the use of common office equipment.
• Must be comfortable operating and troubleshooting equipment.
