Job description
FTL Labs, Inc. is an environmental testing laboratory that was established in 1985. We are certified in Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia with a focus on drinking water and wastewater and serve a variety of residential, commercial, and municipal clients.
We are a small but fast-growing lab with a family feel environment. As an analyst at FTL Labs, you will have the opportunity to run a variety of test methods including, but not limited to, general wet chemistry and inorganic chemistry including metals and anions analyses. Assist with coordinating subcontract work and shipping.
Some rotating weekend work is required due to the nature of our analytical processes.
Required Qualifications:
- Maintain basic knowledge of chemistry, biology, laboratory techniques, practices, and procedures. Demonstrate good math skills.
- Have experience working in a laboratory setting.
- Strong attention to detail
- Passion for learning.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of EPA-approved laboratory methods for drinking water and/or wastewater.
- Experience with QA/QC laboratory procedures.
- Bachelors degree in Sciences relating to Chemistry, Environmental Sciences and/or Biology.
- Experience with ICP/MS, Seal Discrete analyzers a plus.
- Experience with Promium LIMS or similar laboratory information systems.
Compensation is based on experience.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
