Estio Training have an exciting new opportunity for Software Tester Apprentice with Autify Digital, a marketing and e-commerce integration specialist based in Nottingham.

Job Description:

Are you a proactive and self-motivated individual with a passion for software quality? Join us as a Software Tester Apprentice at Autify Digital!

In this role, you’ll contribute to the development and quality control of our software solutions, ensuring they meet our clients’ needs. As part of our agile team, you’ll collaborate with developers, product managers, and other team members to identify and address defects, bugs, and vulnerabilities in the software.

Your duties and responsibilities in this role will consist of:

  • Own product knowledge for new and existing software features.
  • Apply various testing methodologies to guarantee the reliability and quality of our products & escalate any issues, blockers, or impediments to Dev team within a timely manner.
  • Delivery of effective and efficient testing practises.
  • Ensuring adherence to defined and agreed technical standards and patterns.
  • Maintaining effective technical documentation.
  • Follows all agreed software delivery processes.
  • Ensuring that all process information is up to date, relevant and accurate in work tickets, time tracking, etc.
  • Contribute insights in team meetings to enhance product quality.
  • Provide technical support to customers, building your product knowledge.
  • Shape and influence software testing strategies for the company’s expansion.
  • Develop a strong understanding of our software products to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  • Formulate, draft, and execute test cases (when applicable, based on acceptance criteria).
  • Execute manual testing when required and construct automated test suites when viable.
  • Develop expertise as a reliable QA figure, presenting a well-substantiated rationale for release readiness.

Qualifications:

  • 5 GCSEs grades A*-C/9-4 or equivalent (including English Language and Maths).

  • Ensure that the software used within your business operates as intended.
  • Design and prepare test plans and conduct software testing as appropriate to ensure your software is fit for purpose.
  • Collect and interpret the results of testing and make appropriate recommendations.
  • Understand the software lifecycle and apply software development practices.
  • Document and report test results.
  • Store, manage and share test data in a secure manner.
