Estio Training have an exciting new opportunity for a Business Analyst Apprentice with Door Ventures, a FINTECH company based in Liverpool.
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Business Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with our product owners to ensure that requirements are well-defined and communicated to the development and QA teams.
Your duties and responsibilities in this role will consist of:
- Work collaboratively with the product owners and designers to define and document the acceptance criteria for requirements. You will need to have a good understanding of the business goals and objectives, as well as the user needs, to ensure that the acceptance criteria are clear, concise, and achievable.
- The Business Analyst is responsible for writing detailed acceptance criteria for both front-end and back-end requirements, using JIRA and confluence in accordance with internal processes. These criteria need to be specific, measurable and testable.
- Reference designs and where relevant, create simple mock-ups to ensure consistency between the design and development processes.
- Attend 3 amigos meetings, liaise with developers and QA to refine and clarify requirements.
- Analyse the requirements to identify any technical or resource dependencies.
- Provide feedback on the feasibility of the requirements, including the scope and timeline.
- Verify the validity of the requirements with subject matter experts, business owners, or other stakeholders to ensure that they meet the business needs and objectives.
Qualifications:
- 5 GCSEs grades A*-C/9-4 or equivalent (including English Language and Maths)

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Problem analysis and troubleshooting.
- Collaborative mindset, openness to feedback and willingness to help others.
- Proactive, able to own projects and work autonomously when required.

- Ability to meet deadlines and support team members in their ability to do so.

The position will suit an analytical, detail-oriented candidate who is able to plan ahead, manage their time efficiently and break down large projects into increments. They will have a strong interest in software and a desire to pursue a career in the field. They will show respect for their colleagues and managers and be industrious and hard-working.
Future prospects:
The role offers a permanent role as Business Analyst upon completion of the apprenticeship depending on performance.

- Identify your data requirements to improve your business.
- Create data models to illustrate how your data is represented within your business systems.
- Assess costs, benefits and impacts of suggested changes to your business.
