WHAT YOU'LL DO As a Knowledge Expert (KE) within BCG Transform, BCG s transformation, turnaround and restructuring business, based in London you will work in a growing global team, providing industry and/or functional expertise and insights to clients and case teams. You will work together with case and proposal teams to provide knowledge assets, analysis and expert advisory. You will collaborate closely with business leaders, acting as a thought partner in providing advice and client-credible insight, for proposals, client work-shops and commercial campaigns in the domain. Additionally, you will support the Regional Business Manager (EMESA) to support the regional leadership team and provide customized knowledge, analyses, and coordination across the core practitioner group and other interested parties within the firm. You will work on commercialization efforts for the topic/sector, in conjunction with business leaders, supporting marketing efforts, conferences and publications. As a Knowledge Expert, you will assist with on-boarding, training and guiding junior colleagues and share best practices within the team. YOU'RE GOOD AT The responsibility of the Knowledge Expert is to be a support partner for our BCG Transform (TRF) consulting staff to help towards our goal of designing, delivering and commercializing a range of highly value-adding and differentiated knowledge services and products that help BCG succeed in the marketplace. With some leverage s/he needs to be as comfortable delivering on the detail and getting their hands dirty as with the strategic thinking required in the role. Your job responsibilities will include following: Work with case and proposal teams Partner with case teams in EMESA and beyond to address critical knowledge needs Provides customized support for BCG Transform proposals and client work to prepare well developed commercial documents Delivers original analysis and insights to case team, provides thought partnership Acts as the go-to person globally for BCG Transform topics for case and leadership teams Acts as a thought partner, establishes credibility with case teams and provides problem solving and topic/sector expertise insights With consultants, collects, synthesizes, analyses case team learnings and inputs into new knowledge products (vignettes, experience) Provides deep financial analysis on companies P&L and Balance Sheet Work with the BCG Transform business / regional team / global Knowledge Team Support Regional Business Manager on regional coordination of business within EMESA region Contributes to content development for meetings & trainings Drives self-initiated knowledge products in collaboration with the team Contributes in building BCG Transform best practice vignettes repository Collaborates globally on internal intellectual capital development such as Tier 1s, PA tools, etc Actively supporting and leading the development of publications, reports and articles. YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS) 5+ years consulting experience (ideally in the transformation space); candidates with consulting experience preferred In lieu of consulting experience, 7+ years minimum industry experience required; 10-14+ years of industry experience strongly preferred Passion for, and ability to quickly develop skills and knowledge in transformation, restructuring, turnaround, change management and other related fields Sound understanding of P&L and Balance Sheet financial KPIs Proficiency in Excel and experience with financial modeling Proficiency in one or more data analysis tool, e.g., Tableau, Alteryx will be an advantage Ability to build & maintain a strong internal network Excellent interpersonal and teaming skills, able to work well with range of people and able to communicate with all levels of seniority Ability to operate/influence effectively in a matrix organization as an autonomous, self-starter Good stakeholder management and influencing skills, business acumen Master's degree preferred with superior problem-solving skills YOU'LL WORK WITH As a Knowledge Expert you will collaborate with global topic leads and colleagues across BCG to bring expertise and capabilities to the service of our internal and external clients. KT members are affiliated to BCG Practice Areas, plugged into the strategic agenda and building and deploying leading edge IP data tools/assets to deliver insight BCG's Knowledge Team members have the opportunity to be staffed on cases and help co-create insights with case teams and clients through expert perspectives on industry trends, delivery of proprietary data or tools in a particular function and complex research and analysis of market information. KT members also support the PA s business development and proposals and help to organize and codify the knowledge that enables BCG to deliver superior business value for its clients.
