Job description
We are an innovative start-up that has been very successful in France. We offer ‘Smart, connected fridges’ to our clients, with fresh, chef-cooked meals to fulfil their employees lunch needs. We have now launched in London where we are building a team to experience the same success and growth that we have had in France.
The Role:
Starting at 6.30pm in the evening, you will be responsible for the deliveries to our client fridges: collecting the food from our kitchen, driving a refrigerated van to our customers, refilling the fridges and then driving back to our kitchen. We are looking for a dependable, reliable and responsible delivery driver to ensure all our clients' fridges are being restocked and maintained accordingly.
This is a physical role where driving is just part of the job: when arriving at our clients you will need to take our products to client fridges (this can be far into a building) and restock it to correct levels. This job requires attention to detail while maintaining efficiency. You will also be the face of the company and be the eyes to our operation on site, so we will be relying on you to make sure the fridges are working correctly and looking great.
For the right candidate: there is the opportunity to become a lead driver which will include greater responsibilities such as training of new drivers. We are aiming for the same growth and size of our French company that now has over 40 drivers.
Your responsibilities:
Operations + Delivery
Correct picking of items in accordance to a pick list, with high attention to detail, making sure each client will receive the correct products. Then loading the refrigerated van with the picked boxes.
Delivery to clients (starts around 7pm), which in general are office blocks.
At the clients, the correct box will need to be taken inside on our wheels, to restock our smart fridge inside.
Maintain stock rotation, food safety and make sure everything is correct at the clients location.
Represent and convey the image of Foodles to customers.
Report any problem or information relating to the delivery (difficulty of access to a customer, road traffic problem, etc.).
Unload the vehicle on return to the kitchen: throw out expired products, put away the delivery boxes, park the vehicle, return the equipment.
Perform first level maintenance on machines.
Your profile:
25+ and have a full, clean UK Driving Licence
Honest, Reliable and Dependable.
Communication is key, keeping managers informed and up to date.
You have experience in picking and packing, or restocking.
You have a minimum 1 year driving experience in London.
You are highly organised and punctual: who can adhere to assigned routes and follow time schedules.
You love food, and experience delivering or working with food or hospitality.
You have Health and Safety Knowledge
