JOB TITLE: Kitchen Supervisor

JOB LOCATION: Watford (WD17)

RESPONSIBLE TO: General Manager

RESPONSIBLE FOR: The Operational, Cleaning, Stock & Administration of the kitchen

UK VISA SPONSORSHIP: Available for the right candidate

RELOCATION PACKAGE: No monetary package applicable, however the company will provide necessary assistance with relocation.

ROLE TYPE: Permanent

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for the efficient operation of the kitchen. To maintain high standards of operational procedures in the kitchen through training. To be responsible for all Kitchen Team Members. To ensure high standards of Quality Production, Hygiene and Cleanliness of the kitchen through EHO compliance.

1. OPERATIONAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To ensure that the unit achieve high standards of Quality Production, Hygiene and Cleanliness.
  • To stand in for Team members if necessary in times of sickness, holidays, days off etc.
  • Ensuring the opening and closing procedures of the kitchen is adhered.
  • To ensure all company’s operational procedures are followed correctly
  • To ensure adherence to all Company systems and procedures
  • To ensure that the total menu offer is available in the units throughout trading hours.
  • To support food preparation and production by working along side team members
  • To ensure that 100% of the menu is available, ready and on display by 12.00pm
  • To communicate effectively with all staff and senior management.
  • To lead by example
  • To be responsible for all food safety and health and safety aspects in line with Company policy including standards.
  • Maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene and following daily procedures and checklists
  • Consistently applying the highest standards with set portion control policies and defined procedures when preparing food.
  • Labelling and implementing stock rotation and wastage controls in accordance with laid down procedures.
  • Operation of the wash-up process.
  • Ensuring safety of team members and stock.
  • Ensure all team members and kitchen are well presented and identifying and monitoring and remedial issues with quipment or units
  • Resolving service issues.
  • To ensure store keys are kept safe at all times and only given to authorised personnel.

2. TRAINING DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITY:

  • To ensure all employees are trained to a high standard an all aspects of the job and all training are ogged and updated correctly.
  • To monitor and assess staff competency.

4. ADMINISTRATION:

  • To ensure all records kept in the unit is up to date.
  • Ensure all daily and weekly paperwork is completed to the standard required
  • Ensure all memos and instructions from the company or manager are action within the time scale.

5. GENERAL:

  • To attend meetings and courses, as directed by the company
  • To be available in case of emergency
  • To present a professional demeanour at all times when dealing with all company employees and customers
  • To carry out other duties and projects as requested by senior management

6. Health and Safety:

  • The company has a clear health and safety policy and this must be followed at all times. Checklists and procedures assist in the delivery of this policy and must be completed thoroughly.

7. Other Duties:

  • The above list is not designed to be exhaustive and you may be asked to assist in other areas as required by the business and subject to the necessary training being given. Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £21,612.40-£22,000.00 per year

  • > 3 years of Kitchen Supervisor/Manager (required)
