About Us
Ra’s Banchan Bar is a modern Korean restaurant, serving dishes such as kimchi pancakes, bulgogi bibimbap, and tteokbokki - just to name a few. Whilst we have operated in multiple locations since our inception, we are excited to be opening a brand new stall at Seven Dials Market in Covent Garden on May 18th. Due to the high footfall in the market, we are expecting to be intensely busy, so are looking at expanding our team in order to meet expected demand.
We are a small, family owned business, which has been operating multiple restaurants, and an events catering company, for just over three years. We have ended the contracts with our previous restaurant locations so we are fully moving to the Seven Dials Market space, and are focusing entirely on making Ra’s Banchan Bar the best Korean restaurant in London - and we need your help to do this!
Job Description
Our Chef’s will be tasked with preparing and cooking all of our menu to ensure our diners are completely satisfied with their meal. We are looking for people who are clean, hungry to learn, team-players, that respect food hygiene practices. Your responsibilities will involve (but are not limited to): preparing produce, creating sauces, cooking Korean food and cleaning the kitchen both during and at the end of service. The market provides a dishwashing service so there will be no cutlery/plate washing up, however we do have to clean our cooking equipment.
Experience cooking Korean food is not mandatory, we have trained all of our Chef’s from scratch and are expecting to do the same with you. However, we will have a preference towards candidates that showcase prior kitchen working experience whether that be a multi-national fast food chain, or small business.
We place a heavy emphasis on positivity and cleanliness. On the application page there is a Food Hygiene quiz. Applicants who fill in this test will stand out from other applications, and help gain you an interview!
