Job description
About us
The Pantry Edinburgh and Pantry Events is a local success story that has grown from strength to strength.
We love food. That’s our thing. Ok, we love coffee too, but food is our passion. And we love a friendly face, so we both feel pretty lucky to combine the two in our day jobs.
We're Charlotte and Chris Thompson. We launched The Pantry in 2012 and our brunches have become the talk of the town. The Sunday Times said that Chris's Eggs Benedict was 'reason alone to come to Edinburgh'. Now if that's not persuaded you we don't know what will!
Chris is passionate about food, perhaps verging on the obsessive. While the rest of us are kicking back with a coffee and the Sunday papers, Chris is digesting yet another cookbook, Keith Floyd and Rick Stein remaining favourites to this day. The ever-changing menu at The Pantry brings to life some of Chris’ seasonal favourites.
Being married to Chris, Charlotte's life is one big culinary adventure. As a vegetarian she always flies the veggie flag ensuring the menu has plenty of options for all diets. With a background in event management at a leading event catering company, you will appreciate how smoothly the cafe runs and she takes charge of all private hire functions including the Tuck Truck (more on our Private Events page).
So that's us. Combined with a brilliant team of staff at The Pantry you can be assured of a great experience every time you visit.
We are looking for a part time existing kitchen porter to join at our base in Sighthill, who considers themselves to have passion to work within a reliable team that delivers high quality standards.
