Job description

A Kitchen Porter’s primary role is to maintain and manage the smooth running of their section, regarding cleaning of all crockery, cutlery & cooking utensils, management of waste disposal, insuring strict health & hygiene standards and to troubleshoot any problems.

Duties

To ensure work area is kept to a safe and hygienic state at all times
To ensure all kitchen opening and closedown procedures are adhered to
To be flexible & willing to help other departments at busy times if required
To support colleagues at all times to ensure team work is maintained
To attend all statutory training as & when requested
To arrive at work at the correct time and in the correct uniform ensuring it is in an immaculate condition
To maintain your personal equipment used to fulfil your job i.e shoes to the required standard
