We are located in a convenient yet tranquil setting with stunning views over acres of ancient woodland.Job SummaryThe Sussex Exchange are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking and committed Kitchen Porter to join our team.Main duties and responsibilities:Cleaning all aspects of the Kitchen including fridges, grease traps, equipment and pantrySpecific cleaning of floors, work surfaces, trolleys and emptying of rubbish binsThe careful use of the dish-washing machine, maintaining it in a hygienic conditionTo ensure the safe and hygienic use of the service lift and dish washerMovement of food and beverage deliveries to their appropriate storage areaEnsuring the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene, both in working methods and personal hygieneTo follow all Health & Safety procedures/Safe Working Practice H.C.C.P. & C.O.S.H.HClose liaison with the Chefs, Restaurant staff and other Kitchen PortersOther duties may be specified from time to time by the Head Chef or your Line ManagersTo report any damage/shortages and equipment faults to the Head Chef/Line ManagerSuccessful candidates will be offered a zero-hour contract with the hourly wage to be discussed at interview. Hourly wage will depend on experience and interview performance. Working hours will differ on a week to week basis.Further information will be available from the General Manager during the interview process. Successful appointments are subject to satisfactory references and original identification documents being provided to prove eligibility to legally work within the United Kingdom.A comprehensive induction process will be conducted with the successful candidate/s to ensure our staff always complete their required duties to the highest possible standards. On-going training plans may be implemented, tailored to the skill set and previous experience/s of the successful candidate.
