- Management and delivery of individual sales targets, bids, negotiations, order placement and reporting
- Liaison, delegation and follow-up as necessary to ensure coverage of all essential tasks to an adequate standard & in a timely fashion
- Working closely with the company’s management & technical teams in order to realise opportunities to generate sales
- Liaising with internal operations functions to ensure adherence to order delivery
- Providing individual personal development to stay abreast of technology, competition & competitiveness
- Developing strong, long-lasting and profitable relationships with customers (existing & potential) at all possible levels within the target markets
- Working with customers to meet their needs in both the long and short terms
- Making visits to customers to promote the company and to pursue sales opportunities through to conclusion and order placement
- Management, support and motivation of the company’s external sales team in given territories (representatives/ distributors etc.). Includes identifying potential new partners
- To devise, along with the company’s management team, strategies for development of the company’s business in respect of sales of the company’s product range into identified territories, markets and market sectors.
- To devise an action plan & once agreed, implement to achieve the agreed strategy, communicating with the management team on progress as necessary.
- To propose and agree with the management team, sales targets and objectives consistent with satisfying the company’s overall strategy for growth and profitability.
- Investigating the needs of the markets & communicating with customers regarding their longer-term needs, plans & direction.
- Understanding & trying to predict technology trends and feeding this back into the sales & marketing strategies, development plans and sales efforts.
- Delivery of the company’s sales targets, in conjunction with sales colleagues.
- B2B sales: 3 years
- Electronic or RF: 3 years
- Experience in the Satcom industry is an advantage, but not essential
