Job description
We are looking for a Kitchen Cleaner for our busy company based in Southampton.
We are dedicated, friendly, hard working and easy to get along with. We are looking for someone in good physical shape and with a positive work ethic to join our team and work alongside the production team.
The role involves washing in the sinks and using the automatic dishwasher, cleaning machines, units such as fridges and freezers, washing floors, equipment and utensils in a modern working kitchen and stores and packaging areas. May also include some other roles of a similar nature. Does not involve cleaning toilet areas.
Initial training of the tasks and expected standard will be given. The individual must be able to follow instruction and also work on their own initiative and show good self discipline and time management. You will work alongside our pastry chefs whom require to use equipment and utensils continuously throughout the day. You should demonstrate the ability to prioritise tasks and complete tasks speedily and to a good standard. A positive mental attitude is required at all times and we only want applicants who want to work please no time wasters. You will report directly to one other team member and the Manager.
Working Hours are Monday to Friday 7.00am to 4.00pm. This includes two 30 minute breaks during this shift Where we provide free breakfast and lunch to all employees.
Optional overtime at standard pay rate may be offered to you as well as optional weekend overtime hours paid at the standard rate. We offer 28 days holiday including bank holidays. Bank Holidays are normal operational days for our business and must be requested as holiday time as normal.
Compulsory uniform is provided, we also provide standard PPE clothing such as hair covering, gloves, apron and face shield.
You must maintain a clean, hygienic and professional manner, appearance and presentation at all times.
