An opportunity has arisen within the Procurement & Supply Chain department to join the Stores & Materials Management Team. Working as part of a small team focused primarily on the processing and internal distribution of all inbound deliveries and the provision of a trusted and essential medical consumable stock replenishment system across all departments in the trust, from our Outpatient departments to Emergency Care Centre. This is a dynamic role that touches upon various aspects of total supply chain management in a modern hospital at an entry level with
opportunity to develop the skills necessary to progress further in this field.
The main functions of the role focus on the efficient and timely distribution of inbound deliveries, Checking goods for accuracy against orders,
localised picking of stock, stock checks on wards of medical consumables, creation of stock orders and the delivery of items to departments. The
role does contain a reasonable amount of physical activity so a reasonable level of fitness is required.

distribution service to wards and departments across the trust. The position is a customer-facing role requiring a strong customer service work
ethic and commitment to being proactive and positive at all times, working in a team to scan, order and put away medical consumables within
clinical environments and maintain stock locations in a tidy and organised manner. In addition the post requires the individual to perform a range
of administrative duties, utilise IT systems, liaise with external suppliers and maintain effective relationships with clinical staff via face to face,
email or telephone interactions.
