About the role
At Longstock Park our Kitchen Assistants operate as a valued member of our talented and friendly Cafe team demonstrating a real passion for food and being motivated to invent, produce and present quality dishes in accordance with our Farm Shop offer. You’ll also be involved in assisting in the day to day running of the kitchen by producing agreed menus to a high standard, controlling stock and minimising wastage. We work to a high standard and as a key part of the team you’ll comply with all food safety policies, procedures and practices as essential when working in catering.
As part of a small team, we are looking for someone creative with a professional demeanor who must be able to work under pressure and demonstrate skill and application of knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
Preparing basic menu items
Assisting other kitchen partners in breakfast and lunch service
Following food hygiene and Partnership guidelines in regards to food safety
Completing necessary daily and weekly paperwork
Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment
Working alongside the front of house partners to keep a clean and tidy environment
Desirable skills
Level 2 Food Hygiene
Previous Kitchen experience
