Blue Jasmine is a fine dining restaurant specialising in refined and imaginative Southeast Asian cuisine.
We are extremely passionate about delivering great quality food combined with excellent service.
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and ambitious Chef with a real passion for food to join our fantastic team who produce outstanding food using the finest and freshest ingredients.
Responsibilities:
- Position reporting to head chef.
- Maintaining the highest standards of food hygiene.
- Working to strict guidelines and menu specs.
- Full flexibility in working hours.
- Keeping inventory.
- Ability to work in a team-driven environment, take direction, offer direction and assist with problem solving.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of designated section
- Comply with all health and safety regulations, the Staff Code of Conduct and company policies.
- To run and supervise any kitchen section to the required standards set by the Head Chef
- To ensure all preparation of the designated section is complete and ready for each service
- Ensure good stock and waste control is practised.
- Be responsible for the quality control of stock and prepared foods.
- Execute cooking to the expected high standard quickly and efficiently.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of designated section.
- Appropriately delegate jobs to junior chefs and apprentices and support them in their development.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the head chef and management
Skills
- Worked in a fine dining (preferred).
- Knowledge of Asian cuisine and Asian Products (preferred).
- Ability to work as a team but also work independently.
- Ability to work to deadlines.
- Communication skills.
- Keeping calm under pressure.
- Assertiveness.
- Attention to detail.
- Organisational skills.
- Good literacy in computer skills.
- Motivation and ability to keep learning.
- Maintain a positive and proactive attitude at all times and seek to improve and advance your skill set and performance.
- A passionate chef with at least 3 years experience.
- Hard working.
- Work well under pressure, organised and have a good food hygiene skills
- A team player, with an adaptable and flexible approach to work
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Salary: From £10.00 per hour
