Job description

Jackson's Hub Ltd is a busy private mortuary awarded with HM Coroners contracts, looking for operatives to cover Kent and London boroughs. Due to recently being awarded even more contracted areas, we need to expand our transfers and removals teams.

We are in search of well-presented, respectful and enthusiastic candidates to join our great team. Starting salary is dependent on experience (however, experience not necessary as full training given). We are looking for professional, helpful and active candidates that must have a full, clean driving licence, good written skills and an eye for detail.

Due to the nature of the role, the right candidate must be available to be on-call out of hours (usually one week on, one week off and additional absence cover). Any call-outs (out of normal working hours) are paid extra on top of salary.

The suitable candidate must have the use their your own vehicle to get to and from work. The position is hybrid, working a combination of on-site duties (based in Rochester, Kent) and covering the Kent and London Boroughs.

Example of role requirements:

  • Daily mortuary duties, cleaning and care of deceased on site
  • Processing paperwork linked to deceased and ID verification processes
  • Maintenance and care of private ambulances/vehicles
  • Transfers and call-outs on behalf of HM Coroner and South-East UK Hospitals
  • Liaising with Police, Coroner's, Emergency Services and friends/family members of deceased
