Job description
We are looking to appoint a temporary kennel assistant initially to cover our busy periods / staff holidays but a permanent post may become available. You will need to be reliable, flexible and physically active as it is a demanding job requiring lots of energy!
Your duties will include cleaning and maintaining the kennels to uphold our high standards of hygiene, preparing food and feeding, exercising, administering medication, brushing and bathing dogs. Full training will be given to enable you to follow our routines and policies. Previous kennel experience is desirable and confidence around all breeds/sizes is essential.
There will be a minimum 19 hours per week and days will include weekends and bank holidays. Our working day is 7am - 5pm and this is not negotiable. Candidates must be flexible with days and will be able to meet demand for example working more hours to cover holidays or during our busy periods.
