Job description
We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed individual to join our small team as a kennel and cattery assistant for the busy summer period.
The successful candidate will be passionate about animals, with prior experience preferable but not essential.
The main responsibility will be providing care to a variety of dogs and cats. This includes cleaning, disinfecting, checking on an animal’s physical and emotional comfort, preparing food and feeding animals at set times, grooming, exercising, administering medication when necessary and reporting any changes in mood or behaviour; all this whilst ensuring the highest levels of hygiene and bio-security at all times.
The successful candidate will be a quick learner, work well within a small team and have the ability to use their own initiative.
Hours of work are on a part-time temporary basis, however the successful candidate must be flexible to help cover holidays and absence.
The position will be offered on a temporary basis.
