Juvenile Program Worker - Long Creek Youth Development Center Code: 5216 Pay Grade: 16 $22.95 - $26.62 hourly, This rate includes the $1/hr institutional stipend This rate does not include any applicable shift differentials Juvenile Program Worker: Career Video MDOC is destigmatizing corrections for the betterment of all Maine communities. Through the ‘Maine Model of Corrections’, we promote the safety of our staff and residents while reducing barriers to meaningful rehabilitative opportunities. We facilitate restorative justice practices that equip justice-involved residents and clients with the skills they need to become contributing members of society upon release, including treatment, education, and job training. A Juvenile Program Worker (JPW) at Long Creek Youth Development Center (LCYDC) is more than a traditional juvenile corrections officer. Yes, JPWs provide direct supervision, safety, security, assistance, and accountability. To affect change in those in our care, a JPW is also a role model, life coach, and positive, supportive adult. A JPW truly can impact Maine’s justice-involved youth towards a better path. Starting Pay: $22.95/hr. Lateral credit up to additional 5 pay steps for experienced hires with current BCTP Certification. Base Premium Overtime Rate: $34.43/hr. Voluntary Overtime Incentive: +$9.00/hr. to Base Premium Overtime Rate. This incentive is currently available through at least June 30, 2023. Shift Differentials: +$0.35/hr. 2nd +$0.42/hr. 3rd Shift. Weekend Differential: +0.60/hr. straight time and +$0.90/hr. for Premium Overtime. Merit and Longevity increases Minimum Requirements to Apply: At least 18-Years-Old.
