Job description
Leading Education is a rapidly growing international education consultancy focused on helping ambitious students to achieve places at world-leading universities. Our unique online tuition programme is designed to help students develop the curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking skills to win a place at Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial, LSE or Medical schools. We have doubled our revenue year-on-year since our inception; we now deliver over 20,000 hours of tuition a year.
Alongside our commercial work, we run a highly successful Oxbridge Access Programme. The programme is growing at 300% a year and last year solicited applications from over 1/20th of the overall number of comprehensive school students applying to Oxbridge. By 2025, Leading Education aims to help more non-fee paying students than private, paying clients.
The Role
We are looking for someone who can make an impact on a dynamic, fast-moving company by joining the team as an Education Consultant in a sales capacity. This role will play a vital role in Leading Education as an organisation. Providing students with unmatched application advice, you will be supporting students on both our free and paid-for programmes.
The role is very client-facing; you will be meeting with many students, parents, and other stakeholders every day. It is a role with a huge potential for growth and lots of autonomy from day one.
Responsibilities of this role include:
● Using your commercial acumen to advise students about the paid services offered by Leading Education, acting as a trusted mentor to students and parents.
● Contributing to our rapidly growing UK and international marketing and sales strategies.
● Playing a pivotal role in the commercial success of the company by pushing forward new leads to drive sales cycles towards completion.
● Providing high-quality pedagogical consultations for students considering applications to Oxbridge and other top UK universities, across a wide range of subjects.
Qualifications:
● Determined, self-driven, high energy. You are tenacious and stop at nothing to make sure students are receiving high-quality customer service. Highly responsive and persistent.
● Commercial acumen. The ability to balance pedagogical and sales objectives within consultations.
● Excellent communication skills and the ability to quickly make a connection with students and other clients.
● Top-notch organisational skills and attention to detail required to process various workflows and manage multiple systems with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency.
● Dedicated to working with demographics that have historically been underserved and under-resourced. Passionate about fair access to university education.
● Understanding of UK education. This may be because you went to a UK university yourself, or because you have worked in the education sector previously.
● Commitment to protecting the welfare and safeguarding of children.
