An exciting opportunity to work as part of the Just ‘B’ Children and Young People (CYP) Team providing a variety of psychological and emotional support to children and young people in a school setting through face to face, telephone/digital or group work throughout Leeds.
We are looking for a confident, experienced worker with children and young people aged 4-18 years of age. Having a creative and flexible approach with a proven track record in proving psychological and emotional support, working within safeguarding procedures and alongside other agencies, is key.
The role requires working within Specialist schools providing one to one counselling support to children and young people with a range of different Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs.
The successful candidate will have experience of working in a school setting, having gained a professional qualification in counselling. You will have excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
Collaborative working skills are essential to this role, as are being adaptable to change, and an ability to manage stress and distress in self and others. A willingness to travel throughout the district with access to your own vehicle is essential.
