About the Role
You will work on copy across .COM, CRM channels, and some ad-hoc social media projects (both paid and organic). You’ll be able to master the unique, colloquial ASOS tone of voice, write snappy short-form copy that appeals to our twenty-something customer while meeting the demands of marketing briefs, be able to produce punchy heads and sells (the wittier the better), and work on longer-form articles for our Style Feed blog. You’ll be able to write for both our menswear and womenswear customers and work on the main ASOS brands, as well as venture and third-party brands. You’ll be able to juggle multiple projects and be enthusiastic about writing anything and everything for a brand with a strong editorial voice. You will have a particular interest in sportswear and sneaker brands and a knowledge of the broad sportswear market.
What You'll Be Doing
- Writing weekly copy for emails, push notifications, on-site promos, homepages, paid social, landing pages and any ad-hoc projects.
- Working on creative concepts and messaging for brand partnerships and writing copy, in particular sneaker and sportswear brands – Creating reactive copy daily to support last-minute trade requirements across CRM and homepage.
- Pitching ideas for the Style Feed blog, writing articles and uploading them to our Content Management System site and the app.
- Collaborating with the social team, contributing ideas and working on projects where necessary.
- Liaising with the translations team to ensure copy is delivered punctually for them to translate.
- Demonstrate an understanding of both our MW and WW audiences
- Be the eyes and ears of the ASOS customer: continuously research and feedback on new social appetite, in particular, language that is relevant to our twenty-somethings
- Report findings and progress and help recommend actions accordingly.
- Collaborating with designers to create cohesive email themes.
- Liaising with CRM managers on all email requirements and schedules and ensure briefs are fulfilled.
Who We'd Like to Meet
- Plugged into fashion loving 20 something trends and online content.
- Has a strong interest in fashion, in particular sportswear and sneakers
- Super-organised and able to manage their own workload.
- Has strong writing skills - the ability to convey a message in everything from short snappy headline to a longer-form article.
- Strong understanding of digital/online technology and its application across multi-channel content publishing includin email, push and social.
- An understanding of the ASOS core customer and their shopping motivations.
- Passion for digital content and an instinct for creating content with a multi-channel approach.
- Knowledge of/interest in CMS and digital publishing.
- Basic Photoshop skills is a plus.
- Passion for the brand.
