Job description
About the Job:
Yogscast Games is looking for a talented, enthusiastic Community Manager to help grow and nurture its online communities of players.
Yogscast Games publishes videogames which are as fun to watch as they are to play. Whether it’s the genre-busting-mashup ‘Golfie’; the thought-provoking and darkly comic ‘Trolley Problem, Inc.’ or the chaotic kitchen management of ‘PlateUp!’, all our games are made to bring joy to players all over the world.
As a Games Community Manager, you will be responsible for creating and implementing a strategy that allows our games to thrive online by building healthy communities and helping players extend their gaming experience.
We expect you to be a passionate and tech-savvy communicator who understands the importance of communities in games – and you’ll already be active across a number of social channels, particularly within gaming.
It’s an exciting position. You’ll be a key part of a small but growing team, working closely with a Product Marketing Manager and Producer to help bring our products to life – as well as being able to help influence the games we sign and how we bring them to market.
Your main responsibilities will be to:
- Design and deploy community strategies for our new launches and portfolio titles.
- Actively contributing to the development of marketing plans, ensuring that communities remain at the heart of our communications strategy
- Create, schedule, coordinate and respond to community across all our titles
- Engage with our players and potential players across a variety of channels, ensuring we are creating safe and welcoming spaces for our communities to thrive.
- Monitor and report on community sentiment, working with the publishing and development teams to address ongoing issues.
- Plan and create engagement community content from newsletters to patch notes – all to a high standard.
What we want from you:
- A passion for all things gaming, particularly premium PC and console titles
- An open, accurate, welcoming style of written communication
- Experience growing and managing communities online either professionally or as personal projects
- Familiarity with major community platforms
- Strong organisational skills
- A strong eye for detail
- Proficiency with digital creative software, able to manipulate images and video to accompany your posts
Application deadline 30th January.
