Junior Web Developer Remote

Branded Garden Products operate some of the best-known gardening brands in the UK. Each year we distribute over 10 million printed catalogues and work closely with national media and magazines to promote gardening products.
We're looking for an enthusiastic junior web developer who has a mix of back-end and front-end skills. As a support role to our senior developers, the successful candidate will be self-motivated and eager to learn and improve their skills in HTML, CSS, and eCommerce.
We'll provide comprehensive training and exceptional opportunities for you to gain the essential skills and valuable experience needed to progress from a junior to senior web developer.
This is a remote working role but candidates must be based in the UK.
Responsibilities:
- Work alongside our developers to maintain and update our existing portfolio of websites.
- Design and build new website features and functionalities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve website issues.
- Undertake test and performance checks.
- Ensure written code is compatible with all devices and browsers.
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and attriubutes:
Essential Skills:
- Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Desirable Skills:
- Microsoft SQL experience.
- Experience with ColdFusion.
- Exposure to content management systems (CMS).
- Experience working with eCommerce websites.
This is a full time permanent position, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 09:00-17:00.
