Job description

Windey Energy Storage team is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Software Developer to join our team. As a Software Developer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and optimizing energy storage systems that integrate seamlessly with wind energy generation. You will work on challenging projects, collaborate with a talented team of engineers, and contribute to the advancement of renewable energy technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Software Develop: Develop and optimize energy storage software solutions that seamlessly integrate with our digital twin system.
  • Agile Development: Collaborate closely with the business development team to gather user stories and implement changes in an agile development environment.
  • System Integration: Ensure the smooth integration of energy storage software into the wider energy system, aligning with our digital twin technology.
  • Simulation and Analysis: Perform detailed system simulations and analysis to identify opportunities for optimization and improvement.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams of engineers and experts to implement and validate energy storage solutions.
  • Innovation: Stay informed about the latest developments in renewable energy and digital twin technology to drive innovation in our solutions.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for software and integration processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience in energy storage software development and system engineering.
  • Strong programming skills, with experience in engineering coding and software languages relevant to energy systems.
  • Knowledge of digital twin technology and its applications in the energy sector.
  • Ability to conduct simulations and data analysis to optimize energy storage performance.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Passion for renewable energy and sustainability.

Job Types: Permanent, Full-time, Graduate

Salary: £26,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
