Job purpose
To develop the software and tools to help world-class products and services based on user needs and business objectives.
You will assess user needs, design a solution and deliver working software through development stages and into production, from where you will contribute to its continuous improvement.
This will require you to be able to manage your own time and coordinate with other people in the team including other developers, QA engineers and systems engineers, who are collaborating on that development project with you.
Main Duties
- Plan, write, maintain, test and document code for GTMaritime applications and platforms. Code will adhere to internal coding standards.
- Function as an integral part of the development team, actively contributing towards the development of our tools, services and platforms.
- Review and contribute on a regular basis to the ongoing improvement of team practices and approaches with a view to making the team more effective and improving our service delivery.
Key Skills
Essential
- Computer Science/Software Engineering or similar degree
- C#
- SQL (MySQL/MariaDB)
- HTML/CSS/JavaScript including JavaScript frameworks
Desirable
- Knowledge of SvelteJS
- Unit testing
- Continuous Integration
- TCP/IP comms
- AWS services (Lambda, S3, SQS, DynamoDB)

This role is based at our offices in Warrington, however we operate a hybrid working model where the team combine working from home with office time (typically 1-2 days per week)
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: Up to £28,000.00 per year
