Strategic Bid Pricing and Data Analyst
The Strategic Bids team facilitates the delivery of tender responses to customers, working cross-functionally and globally to collate relevant information
ABOUT THE ROLE
· Manage small bids through to customer submission, ensuring all submitted data is correct.
· Help win new opportunities for the business through data informed pricing decisions.
· Create, undertake, and review with internal customers, reporting and trend analysis to identify potential issues, errors, and monthly trends to ensure appropriate preventative and improvement action can be undertaken to achieve departmental objectives.
· Undertake Root Cause Analysis, contributing to and/or implementing the associated corrective action activity, to identify reasons for process or objective failures to ensure future prevention and improvement.
· Design, calculate and report KPIs to ensure that the business has accurate and timely data to base decisions upon.
ABOUT YOU
· Ideally you will hold Bachelor’s degree or have 6-8 years related experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
· Experience with database modelling and data analytics
· A demonstrated ability to present information or instruct in a professional and effective manner
· Ability to analyze, evaluate data, and make sound recommendations and decisions
· Ability to reproduce established bids and prepare and evaluate new bids
· Ability to maintain an effective liaison with vendors, management, staff, and co-workers
· Ability to travel as required
· Excellent organisational and time-management skills
· Clear and accurate data entry and documentation skills
· Ability to build internal customer relationships - excellent customer service skills with the ability to deal tactfully, confidently and ethically.
· Ability to be detailed oriented and perform in-depth research, if required
· Ability to be cross trained in multiple critical areas of the department
· Strong competency working with integrated data systems, Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook and intermediate to advanced Word and Excel (i.e., spreadsheets, formulas, importing and exporting of files, as applicable) as required
