Junior Project Manager/Installation Manager
We are:
We are a London and Hampshire based creative furniture company designing and manufacturing commercial furniture within the UK. We are currently a team of 40 with ambitious growth plans. We have opened a new manufacturing facility in Ropley, near Alresford Hampshire. The acquisition provides us with an exciting opportunity to develop the site which has become our main hub housing warehousing, manufacturing and offices.
Rawside design and manufacture high quality furniture for the contract market (office, retail and hospitality). Most of our customers are within the UK but we have recently completed a number of successful projects in Europe and expect to expand these markets. Our environmental credentials are a key part of our business and having recently been certified Carbon Neutral we are keen to improve and reduce our carbon footprint and impact on the environment.
We are looking for someone to join our busy team to organise and manage furniture installations and deliveries and assist in Project Managing larger projects. The potential to progress to become a future Project Manager exists for the right candidate
You are:
Energetic, enthusiastic, willing to learn and a good communicator. You will be based in our new facility in Ropley, Hampshire but will need to be making regular trips in to London and all around the UK (you may be required to stay overnight when required).
Your role:
· Work alongside our Project Manager and other Departments to ensure goods will be ready for scheduled delivery dates
· Liaise with our resellers and end user customers to ensure they are aware of when their goods will be arriving
· Ensure that our resellers and customers complete the necessary pre-installation questionnaire before organising deliveries and installations
· Liaising with our logistics and installation partners to obtain quotes and pricing for deliveries and installations
· Placing Purchase Orders for deliveries and installations
· Keeping a schedule and live calendar of all deliveries and installations and ensuring all requirements are in place
· Ensuring that drawings and any installation instructions are issued
· Carrying out pre-installation surveys to check site conditions, access suitability and to foresee any potential risks
· Completing Risk Assessments and Method Statements
· Be on site to manage larger deliveries and installations and be prepared to act quickly to ensure projects run smoothly
· Feedback and provide status reports to Project Manager and other internal departments
· Manage any post install issues and chase through until successful completion
· Manage future service, repair and warranty requests
Your experience and skills:
· Previous experience of managing any types of installations within commercial buildings or commercial construction sites would be beneficial
· An interest in furniture and manufacturing would be useful
· A calm steady head who can think ahead and manage whilst also being able to resolve matters on the spot
· An organised mind and good communicator
· Strong emphasis on accuracy and detail
· Proficient in Microsoft Office and similar software
· Good time management and organizational skills
· Ability to read plans and drawings
· Excellent communication skills

· Place of work: Ropley, Hampshire with requirement to travel regularly into London and around the UK (travel to sites and associated costs will be paid for)
