Job description

As Apian’s Junior Project Manager, you will be working closely with the Project Manager to assist them in the planning, execution, and monitoring of projects. At Apian we have ambitious plans, and we need a keen and passionate team member to support the vital project management and administration of these projects. Your main responsibility will be ensuring that projects are delivered on time and to the expected quality standards. To be successful in this role, you should have excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and be able to work well remotely in a team environment. You should also have good communication skills, be willing to learn and take initiative, and be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. You may have experience as a Project Administrator working on large-scale projects as part of a cross-functional team, or have experience as a project manager working on smaller-scale projects, and are looking for a fresh challenge.

Your duties will include:

  • Responsibility for the maintenance of project plans, risk management and schedules
  • Communicating with team members and stakeholders to ensure everyone is aware of project progress and changes, tracking milestones and deliverables
  • Preparing project reports and presentations
  • On-site operations work, including UK travel and working away from home for extended periods
  • Identifying potential risks and issues and proposing solutions to mitigate them
  • Participating in project meetings and taking meeting minutes
  • Supporting the Senior Project Manager
  • Contributing to Apian’s project management strategies

Your skills and experience:

  • Experience of working in a project management role/team - Essential
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Essential
  • Experience of managing and maintaining project documentation across multiple projects - Essential
  • Knowledge of, or experience in healthcare - Desirable
  • Knowledge of, or experience in drone technology/aviation - Desirable
  • Passion, commitment, and an interest in working in a start-up - Essential!
