Junior Product Owner | Insurtech | Norwich – Hybrid Working | 30K - 35K

We are excited to be working with a Norwich based Fin-Tec start-up that is highly ambitious and set to scale rapidly over the next 5 years. They have created industry-first products that meet the needs of individuals, businesses, and platforms across the 21st century economy and they are ready to take their digital experience to the next level.

Following initial success they are scaling operations to expand into new verticals and are building an in-house product team as a focal point of their strategic efforts. They are on the lookout for a Junior Product Owner to join the team and convert the product roadmap into defined product requirements and drive commercial value within the business.

Role:

  • Prioritize and manage the sprint backlog, ensuring alignment with stakeholder requirements
  • Generate user stories based on stakeholder needs and requirements
  • Organize and participate in agile ceremonies such as stand-ups, retrospectives, and planning meetings
  • Defining the acceptance criteria and detailing the testing plan
  • Identify opportunities to enhance existing products by gathering feedback from internal colleagues, partners, and customers
  • Continuously analyse the product development process and seek ways to improve it based on feedback from internal colleagues

What you will bring:

  • Experience working in a similar product position, or experience in a BA, Technical Business Analyst or Project Manager function looking to step into a Product Owner role
  • Insurance experience would be a huge advantage, but is not essential
  • Understanding of Agile / Change methodology
  • Experience working with internal teams such as design and engineering
  • Experience ideally with Jira, or other similar product management software
  • Organised and able to adjust to rapid change
  • Great stakeholder engagement skills

Salary: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
