Vanilla Underground is an award-winning fast-growing online retailer with a core focus on bringing pop culture and licensed products to an international audience. VU sells an exciting product range from over 100 top brands, including Marvel, Peppa Pig, Pokémon, Friends & Star Wars. The company is well placed and ships worldwide across multi-market places with our principal sales channel’s being our Shopify website, amazon, and eBay.
After a very successful rapid growth period, we are seeking a full-time Junior Photographer to join the team.
General Responsibilities
This role primarily includes but is not limited to shooting E-commerce flatlays and model shots.
Positioned within our marketing team, you will be working alongside our Videographer to produce high-quality images for our products that will be distributed across our product listings, website pages, marketplaces and social media outlets.
You will be responsible for:
- Capturing product photography for use across our website, marketplaces and social media and making sure all new products are photographed and edited in a timely manner and to a high standard.
- The end-to-end process of set-up, capturing and editing/retouching product photography.
- Working alongside the marketing team to create engaging and creative photo content that can be used for advertising purposes across multiple online platforms.
- Photographing model shoots and ensuring all imagery is to a high standard and complies with VU photography guidelines.
- Set up and maintenance of studio lighting, camera and computer equipment.
- Uploading photos to online platforms for approval and file handling of images.
- General admin tasks associated with the role.
Candidate requirements
We are looking for a creative, proactive self-starter who can work both independently on their own initiative and works well within a team environment.
- Experience working with a DSLR is essential as all equipment is provided. (We work with Canon 5D Mk 4)
- Experience working with Photoshop is essential.
- You must have great attention to detail with skills in photography, editing and retouching
- Adobe Lightroom experience is advantageous but not essential.
- Experience of working in a similar studio-based role is advantageous but not essential.

Please note this role does not offer remote working so you must be able to travel to our Tamworth-based office
Schedule:
- 8 hour day
- Office hours are between 9 am - 5.30 pm with 30 minutes lunch break
