Casual Admin and Business Support Receptionist
Casual
Would you like to deliver a high-quality customer experience to our Active Leicester clients?
After 3 years of delivering year on year improvements Sports Services now have in place ambitious plans to ‘step up the service’ to take us to the next level. With seven leisure centres across the city, we offer gym and swim facilities, group exercise classes, gymnastics and trampoline sessions, and a climbing wall, to all residents who are on a journey to improve their health and wellbeing.
As a Receptionist in one of our facilities, you’ll be a valued member of the leisure team, working together to provide a welcoming environment for all our customers. You’ll be given one to one support and training to ensure you are fully able to carry out your duties effectively.
Based at any of our leisure centres, you’ll have the flexibility to work any hours. With the benefit of being a casual worker, you’ll have the opportunity to work as many shifts as you would like but it will be dependent on the shifts available.
What you'll be doing
Giving a positive first impression, you’ll greet customers, efficiently book them in for exercise and swim sessions as well as issue membership documentation, tickets for leisure activities and visitor passes. Responding to customer enquiries via email, face to face and on the telephone, you’ll assist in the sale of memberships including processing Direct Debits. You’ll provide accurate information on the full range of products, services and relevant promotional campaigns. Ensuring revenue protection, you’ll process transactions and manage efficient customer entry through front of house access control systems. You’ll carry out cash-handling duties, which will include balancing cash and processing invoices. You’ll maintain a clean and well-presented reception and sales area in line with the Active Leicester brand.
What you'll need
Experienced in providing excellent customer service, and with a high level of interpersonal skills, you’ll be able to deal with members of the public in a friendly and courteous manner. You’ll be able to provide information and advice clearly and concisely to customers, managing any conflicts or difficult situations with ease and professionalism. Having proficient IT skills and with good attention to detail, you’ll confidently use Microsoft Office software packages including Word, PowerPoint and Excel, to maintain accurate computerised records and EPOS (Electronic Point of Sale) systems.
