Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and creative Junior Digital Designer to join our dynamic design team. This entry-level position is ideal for a recent graduate who possesses a passion for digital design and is eager to kickstart their career in this field. As a Junior Digital Designer, you will collaborate with senior designers and work closely with development teams to create visually captivating and user-friendly digital experiences. Roles and Responsibilities:
Digital Design Creation
Collaborate with senior designers to conceptualize and create visually compelling designs for websites, mobile applications, and other digital platforms. Utilize design software/tools proficiently to produce high-quality visual assets and user interfaces. Work on multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring adherence to project timelines and deadlines.
User Experience (UX) Design
Assist in the creation of wireframes, prototypes, and user flows to optimize user experience and interface design. Collaborate closely with development teams to translate designs into functional websites and digital products. Incorporate user feedback and conduct usability testing to refine designs.
Content Management and Website Building
Utilize a Content Management System (CMS) to build websites and populate content, ensuring a seamless user experience and adherence to design guidelines. Collaborate with content creators to incorporate and format text, images, and multimedia elements into the website. Ensure content is accurately and effectively organized, displayed, and optimized for search engines.
Responsive Design and Mobile Optimization
Design responsive layouts that adapt to various screen sizes and devices, ensuring optimal user experience across platforms. Implement mobile optimization strategies to create seamless and visually engaging experiences for mobile users.
Collaboration with Development Teams
Work closely with development teams to provide design assets, specifications, and guidance throughout the development process. Collaborate in an agile environment, ensuring efficient communication and alignment between design and development teams.
Visual Asset Creation
Create and optimize visual assets, including icons, graphics, and multimedia elements, for use in digital projects. Ensure visual consistency and adherence to brand guidelines throughout all digital designs.
Keeping Abreast of Industry Trends
Stay updated with the latest trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in digital design. Continuously explore and incorporate innovative design techniques to enhance the overall quality of digital experiences.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in digital design, visual communication, or a related field.
- Strong portfolio showcasing proficiency in digital design principles, UI/UX design, and use of relevant design tools.
- Proficiency in industry-standard design software, such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD) or Sketch.
- Basic understanding of HTML/CSS and web design principles.
- Knowledge of responsive design and mobile optimization.
- Excellent understanding of user-centered design principles and usability.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively work with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to receive and incorporate feedback effectively.
- Time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines.

Salary
£25k - £35k dependent on experience.
