A global supplier of high-quality and high-performance digital readout systems (DRO) and linear feedback encoders. This is a great opportunity to work and learn all aspects of the production and maintenance areas of a business. Along with assisting the Engineering (R and D) team.
General Responsibilities
- Production equipment maintenance and calibration.
- Assembly and testing of new production equipment.
- Compiling Risk Assessments and other basic Health and Safety tasks
- Support production in implementing new layouts and procedures.
- Participate in the organisation of goods inwards inspection and compile reports of measurements taken.
- Input to other Quality Assurance tasks.
Experience / Qualifications
- Entry level engineering qualification such as apprenticeship or BTEC in Engineering
- Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands.
- Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation.
- Robust organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results.
- Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity.
- Willingness to learn new skills.
- Basic understanding of mechanical and/or electronic fault finding.
We are seeking candidates who live within 1 hours travel time of our Leicester office. With some working knowledge of manufacturing environment and genuine interest in the industry.
You must be diligent in nature, ready to work hard and develop new professional skills. You should have an eye for detail and understand the importance of checking your work rigorously. You must be willing to practice and enhance your new skills to achieve the regular training and development goals.

Salary: £19,785.88-£32,695.74 per year
